Tips on How to Be Remarkable

Today’s show is another in a series of bonus episodes each featuring one of the incredible talks given by my participants in The Big Talk Academy as a part of our Virtual Showcase. This showcase is the culmination of their hard work as they cross the finish line to become certified speakers.

These episodes give you a peek behind the scenes to witness the amazing Big Talks presented and also give you exclusive access to my live feedback and the direction I give to each speaker immediately following their performances.

This week’s episode features Vivian Garcia-Tunon and her talk, Making Myself Remarkable.

As a first generation Cuban-American, Vivian has seen and experienced both sides of the diversity conversation from a young age. She believes the most critical element to Diversity and Inclusion (Belonging) is starting with honest conversations that create awareness to biases, behaviors, and actions that are not inclusive.

Today, Vivian focuses her time and energy working towards solutions that start at the heart of the issue and driving sustainable change for individuals and organizations.

In this inspiring talk, she explores:

  • The tragic loss she experienced as a child and how it changed her
  • What happened when she reached her lowest point
  • Living out your purpose
  • How to be remarkable and recognizing how the events of your life help you get there
