Show Summary:

Today, I am joined by the amazing and talented Miriam Schulman.

Miriam has been a professional artist for over 20 years and lives her creative life with gratitude in New York’s backyard.

After witnessing the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Miriam abandoned a lucrative hedge fund job to work on her art full-time. Rejecting the starving artist myth, her watercolor and mixed media paintings have been seen on NBC, published in magazines and books, and collected worldwide.

In addition to creating art, Miriam teaches other artists through her online courses, hosts The Inspiration Place podcast, and is the author of the book Artpreneur: The Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Sustainable Living from Your Creativity.

In this episode, we’ll explore:

  • The importance of art during times of crisis and why sharing your art is a service
  • Mindset and the need for artists to believe in themselves, their art, and their buyers
  • How artists can increase confidence when marketing themselves and believe in their worth
  • Why you need to take persistent and inspired action
  • Miriam’s current favorites: Book: Harry Potter, Speaker: Brené Brown, and Podcast: Wiser Than Me
